NXT’s Director, Events will join a team that is responsible for managing all aspects of NXT’s events division, including our NXTevents, Showcase Lacrosse, and MVP Lacrosse line of lacrosse events. The Director, Events, will work directly under NXT’s Vice-President of Events Robin Baxter, and will also work closely with Brett Manney, the Director of NXT’s Showcase Lacrosse series of recruiting events.
NXT’s Director, Events will contribute directly to:
• All aspects of event organization.
• Event management, including coordination with the host venues and onsite management.
• Event customer outreach, messaging, and marketing.
• Event customer relations.
• Event staffing.
NXT’s Director, Events also currently has the following supplemental duties:
• Promote NXT’s events via social media in coordination with NXT’s Communications
• Stay informed on trends and competitors in the lacrosse events business.
The ideal candidate must be open to travel, as extensive travel for events, conferences and venue visits is required. The ideal candidate should also have very strong familiarity with the sport of lacrosse, familiarity with management of lacrosse events and tournaments, familiarity with working on college campuses, excellent organizational skills, a strong familiarity with office computer programs, excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills, the ability to multi-task and handle several assignments simultaneously, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
This is a full-time position, located at the NXT Office at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia. Compensation consists of a competitive salary commensurate with experience, and an extensive health and dental benefits package and 401k.
