From Press Release
The inaugural spring featured roughly 40 teams in grades 5-8 from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This year, the league looks to grow as it continues to feature the best youth club teams in the Mid-Atlantic region with teams from as far north as Connecticut and as far south as Northern Virginia expressing serious interest. Elite competition is found in both the A and AA divisions.
Applications are open for the league, which is played exclusively on Sundays from March 20-May 15 at various top facilities in the Greater Philadelphia area. The cost is $2,300 per team with a $500 deposit due Dec. 1. Team applications must be filled out here.
The league will feature divisions in grades 3-8 and games are comprised of four 12-minute quarters with modified FIL rules to promote fast play and competition. There are two certified referees and one game coordinator per game, with one certified athletic trainer and one NXT representative per site.
“Last year’s league featured some great youth teams and really helped a lot of teams improve their game before the summer circuit,” NXTLeagues Director Kyle Martin said. “We’re excited to see the league grow as more and more top-level teams decide that they want to be a part of a league where they can see elite competition on a weekly basis.”
