History has been made.

NXT girls
NXT girls coach Kate Henwood addresses the group

It took two days of intense tryouts at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken and plenty of debating, but the rosters are set for the first girls teams in NXT Lacrosse Club history. Teams in the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024/25 graduation years were formed from an incredibly talented group of girls that tried out.

“We’re so excited about the teams that we’ve put together,” NXT Lacrosse Girls Director and NXT LC Girls 2021 head coach Kate Henwood said. “The amount of talent that came out to a first-year club’s tryouts was absolutely mind-blowing.

“We knew that there were going to be some talented players, but we strongly feel that we’re going to field some incredibly competitive teams right off the bat. I want to thank everyone who came out to the tryouts for their time and we couldn’t be more pumped to get things going this fall.

“One of the coolest things to see was how girls were deciding to come to NXT from all over the area. It’s not just one or two concentrated areas. Instead, we have girls from 13 different middle schools on our 2020 team and 12 middle schools for our 2021 team. We love the geographic diversity and we can’t wait to start coaching them this weekend!”

NXT Girls 2020 and 2021’s fall schedules will be released in the near future.
