NXT 2019 tryouts are expected to attract more than 150 players to EA for what is expected to be one of the nation’s elite 2019 teams. NXT 2016 head coach and NXT Director of Showcase Lacrosse Brett Manney leads a coaching staff that also includes two-time Johns Hopkins national champion George Castle. The two coached a 2016 team that has, as of this writing, 21 players committed, 14 of which will play Division I lacrosse.
NXT LC players have:
Won national championships, Inter-Ac League championships, state championships, district championships and league championships.
Scored game-winning goals in overtime to win state championships
Been named college All-Americans
Been named U.S. Lacrosse All-Americans, Under Armour All-Americans, All-EPLCA and all-league selections.
Participated in Nike’s The Ride
Participated in Maverik Showtime
Come from 43 different high schools
More NXT LC players have been a part of PIAA championship teams in the past two years than any other club. Sixty-six NXT LC players in four classes have committed to continuing their lacrosse careers at NCAA programs, including 43 Division I commits. NXT LC believes that it’s not when a player commits. Rather, it’s about where to ensure that a school is the best fit for the player. NXT LC prides itself on being more than a club. We offer year-round programming that includes box lacrosse work in the winter and regular year-round practices at EA and Main Line Sports Center.
All NXT LC high school players are offered guaranteed admission to all of NXT’s Showcase Lacrosse recruiting events, which are consistently deemed the nation’s best recruiting events. NXT LC strives to place its high school players in events that offer the most exposure.
NXT Youth teams get to play in the best events in the country, since most of them are run by NXTevents, the industry leader in lacrosse events. NXT Youth teams also take part in NXT LC’s year-round curriculum.
