From Press Release
A talented group of 25 players comprise the roster for NXT’s team of high school freshmen. Fifteen high schools are represented on the team, including the first players in NXT LC history from Archmere Academy, Holy Ghost Prep, La Salle, Lancaster Catholic, Neshaminy and South Philadelphia.
“Every year, we continue to be overwhelmed by the incredible amount of talented players that decide that they want to be a part of NXT,” 2019 head coach Brett Manney said. “We had more than 100 players try out for what we think will be one of the best 2019 teams in the country. We’d love to keep a lot more than 25, but at the same time, we strongly feel that this is a special group that will do some incredible things together. It’s also great to see new high schools represented every year.”
The team consists of six attackmen, eight midfielders, two face-off specialists, two longstick midfielders, five close defensemen and two goalies.
