George School 2015 midfielder John Arth has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Swarthmore College.

Academic honors, service projects: Head of School List and Honor Roll (four years); Senior Prefect; Discipline Committee
What will you major in/study? Undecided/Engineering, Physics, Economics
Why did you choose Swarthmore? “Swarthmore is one of the most outstanding academic schools in the country and has a great lacrosse tradition. I look forward to playing for and learning from Coach Pat Gress.”
Outlook for 2015 HS season? “We lost some great seniors and our long-time coach retired, but we have a returning core of seasoned players and should challenge for the playoffs and league title once again.”
Thank You: “I want to thank my parents for all of the time and support they have given my lacrosse career. I also want to thank all my coaches at Tri-State Lacrosse and, before that, Lower Bucks Lacrosse, for instilling in me a true love of the game. Most of all I want to thank Tom Griffith, my now-retired George School coach, for all of his teaching, mentoring and encouragement. I don’t know that I’d be playing college lacrosse without him.”
