Garnet Valley 2016 attackman/midfielder Daniel Ferreri has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Widener University.
Danny Ferreri ledger:
High School: Garnet Valley High School
Graduation Year: 2016
Position: Attack/Midfield
College Choice: Widener University
Club Affiliation: Jags Lax
Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: Nike Blue Chip, Under Armour Shootout, Philly Showcase
What will you major in/study? Business/Undecided
Why did you choose this school? “The reason I chose Widener University is because after several visits I knew this was the best fit. Coach (Brendan) Dawson and his staff have a very clear expectation of their players in the classroom and on the field and it is exactly who I want to be. Having Philadelphia at my doorstep will be another great advantage for me because it is rich with internship opportunities.”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “Although we lost many talented seniors from 2015, we have a lot of returning starters and other players ready to make a difference on the team. The Central League is always competitive, but we are working hard to repeat our success from 2015 and more.”
Thank You: “First, I’d like to thank my Mom and Dad for countless hours spent pushing me to become a better student and athlete. I would also like to thank Coach Urso and Coach Snow for helping me become the player I am today.”
