DeMatha Catholic (MD) 2016 midfielder Danny Scheib has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Delaware Valley University.
Danny Scheib ledger:
High School: DeMatha Catholic High school
Graduation Year: 2016
Position: O/D Midfield
College Choice: Delaware Valley University
Club Affiliation: Snappers Lacrosse Club
Academic honors, service projects: Thomas Eastman Award and Academic Scholarship sophmore year, volunteer for the Adlax program in Davidsonville, MD
What will you major in/study? Agribusiness
Why did you choose the school? “I chose DelVal because it’s a known agriculture school and business school. My grandfather owns a wine, beer and liquor distributorship and with this comes the need to understand agriculture, knowing the different types of soils and grapes and grape growing techniques for producing wine. You need to know the basics of how to produce great craft beers from hops and grains and also the techniques for micro-distilling. My father also owns his own business, so the concept of owning and running your own business is a huge part of my life. I would like to take advantage of learning about all of these things at Delaware Valley.”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 HS season: “We hope for a winning season at DeMatha.”
Thank You: “First and foremost, I am thankful for my parents. I am also thankful for Mrs. Phalen, who’s helped me through out my high school career at DeMatha Catholic High School.”
