Monday’s Delaware HS roundup: Tatnall girls win, Archmere, Cape Henlopen boys triumph

Margaret Crivelli scored six goals, Jessica Principe had three and Katie Mariner and Mirthe Berands each tallied two as the Lady Hornets of Tatnall earned a 15-13 non-league win over Westtown School Monday in girls’ lacrosse action.delaware11

Stephen Decatur (MD) 15, Cape Henlopen 9
Sarah Tappan led the Lady Vikings with seven goals.

Middletown 17, Brandywine 5
Four goals each by Allison and Emily Pantazes, three by Joyce Keller and two by Alexia Johnston paced the Lady Cavaliers of Middletown to a 17-5 win over the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Cady Burnside with two goals.

Mt. Pleasant 15, Christiana 3
Five goals by Kate Walker, four by Alyssa More, and two by Jordan Siskin paced the Lady Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant to a 15-3 win over the Lady Vikings of Christiana. For the Lady Vikings, McKenzie Layton led with 2 goals.

Boys

Sussex Central 9, St. Thomas More 8
Three goals each by Chase Wells and Chris Parker paced the Golden Knights of Sussex Central to a 9-8 win over the Ravens of St. Thomas More. The Ravens were led by James Steinberg with four goals followed by William Thomas with three.

Sussex Tech 14, Parkside (MD) 6
Six goals by Jason Whaley, three by Matthew Tull, and two by Ian Carlisle paced the Ravens of Sussex Tech to a 14-6 win over Parkside High School of Maryland.

Lake Forest 16, red Lion Christian 1
Five goals by Austin Aguilar, four goals by Ben Moore, and three goals by Carter Kenton paced the Spartans of Lake Forest to a 16-1 win over the Lions of Red Lion Christian.

Archmere Academy 16, Wilmington Christian 1
Three goals by Xavier Glavin and Connor Revak and two each by Robert Baxter and Daniel Pearson paced the Auks of Archmere Academy to a 16-1 win over the Warriors of Wilmington Christian.

Cape Henlopen 9, Stephen Decatur 6
Three goals by Michael Hopkins paced the Vikings of Cape Henlopen to a 9-6 win over Stephen Decatur of Ocean City, MD.
