From Press Release

The University of Pennsylvania’s James H. Greene, Jr. Head Coach of Men’s Lacrosse, Mike Murphy, has announced the program’s Class of 2019. Nine young men have joined the Penn program, and will be freshmen for the 2016 season.

“We are excited to welcome the Penn Lacrosse Class of 2019 to the University,” said Murphy, who enters his seventh season overseeing the Quakers program. “We expect significant contributions from this group on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. These nine young men have had a great deal of success throughout their careers, and we expect that to continue here at Penn.”

Penn’s freshman class was recently selected fourth nationally by Inside Lacrosse, and with good reason. Three members of the class played in the prestigious 2015 UnderArmour All-America Game; five of the nine were USLacrosse All-Americans last year; and four remain in the 30-man player pool for the 2016 U.S. Under-19 World Cup team (Dunn, Lejman, Alex Roesner, Joe Licciardi)

In addition to ranking Penn’s class overall, Inside Lacrosse named five of Penn’s freshmen among its Power 100 Freshmen of 2016 including three in the Top 20 and four in the Top 40: Noah Lejman (7th); Tyler Dunn (13th); Alex Roesner (17th); Simon Mathias (39th); and Joe Licciardi (72nd).
