From Press Release
The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced the 2015 CSAC Men’s Lacrosse Awards, as voted upon by the league’s eight head coaches. These awards include First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-CSAC, as well as Player, Coach and Rookie of the Year and the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Gwynedd Mercy University’s Tony McCraw (Lawnton, Pa./Central Dauphin East) was the coaches’ selection for CSAC Player of the Year. The junior midfielder is the first Gwynedd Mercy men’s lacrosse player to be recognized as the CSAC Player of the Year. McCraw led the Griffins with 45 goals and 21 assists for 66 points. Heading into this weekend’s conference semifinals, McCraw leads the CSAC in goals per game (3.00) and points per game (4.40). He is also ranked 16th in NCAA Division III in face-off win percentage (.652). McCraw and the Griffins are the No. 3 seed in the CSAC playoffs and will travel to second-seeded Marywood University for a 4 p.m. semifinal contest.
Cabrini College’s Joey Hoey (Springfield, Pa./Springfield-Delco) was the coaches’ selection for CSAC Rookie of the Year. Hoey, a defender, started all 16 games for the Cavaliers and was the lone freshman on the all-CSAC first team. He collected 18 ground balls and nine turnovers and led a Cavalier defense that surrendered just 21 goals against CSAC opponents this spring. Hoey and the Cavaliers will host fourth-seeded Centenary College in the other CSAC semifinal matchup Saturday.
Cabrini College’s Steve Colfer earned his fifth consecutive and 10th all-time CSAC Coach of the Year award in his 15th season with the program for guiding the Cavaliers to an unprecedented 14th straight undefeated run through the conference. Colfer’s squad owns an 11-5 record on the year and is currently ranked No. 16 in NCAA Division III. The Cavaliers lead the CSAC in goals scored (212), assists (125) and ground balls (523) and are ranked 14th nationally in scoring margin (6.27) and 17th in scoring defense (6.53).
