Two former teammates from Northeast High of the Philadelphia Public League faced off Saturday when Division II’s Walsh University defeated ECAC Conference foe and host Ohio Valley University, 12-7 in Parkersburg, W.V.

Sophomore Matt Ragan (Walsh University) and freshman defenseman Shawn George (Ohio Valley University) played together at Northeast and in the LEAPS program.
Ragan, a midfielder, had four groundballs and three caused turnovers in the contest. He has seven groundballs and one assist overall for the 1-2 Cavaliers. George has made three starts in six games for Ohio Valley (0-7), collecting nine groundballs and five caused turnovers.
As their former Northeast High School and LEAPS Coach it is great to see Philadelphia Public League kids playing at the next level. These two gentleman were great student athletes. I hope you have time to highlight these two gentleman. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
