Haverford High 2017 attack Laura Winters has made a verbal commitment to the admissions process to play Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy.

What will you major in/study? Political Science
Why did you choose this school? “At first it was so unfamiliar, but the more I visited and learned about the Academy the more I realized what an awesome opportunity this would be. I’ll get an incredible education, play highly competitive lacrosse and have the opportunity to serve my country. I fell in love with the coaches, team and overall atmosphere of the ‘yard’ and Annapolis. I’m really looking forward to getting to know my teammates and playing for Head Coach Cindy Timchal. Go Navy!”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “Last year Haverford fared pretty well in the tough Central League. Although we have lost a few key players from last year’s team, we have several talented underclassmen ready to step up. I am excited to see how we do this upcoming spring.”
