From Press Release
Lehigh men’s lacrosse’s presence in Major League Lacrosse continues to increase as six different alums played at least one MLL game this season, led by Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney ’12 who enjoyed career seasons for Florida. Roman broke out with 14 goals and three assists for the Launch while Dylan O’Shaughnessy ’15 was a member of the MLL Champion New York Lizards.

One of only two players to play in every game of the Launch’s two-year history, Roman finished seventh on his squad with a career-high 17 points behind 14 goals and three assists. He added 11 groundballs, 49 shots and 28 shots on goal. Primarily playing offensive midfield, Lao-Gosney ended the season with five goals over his last four games. Roman also posted two hat tricks, on May 16 vs. Denver and June 20 against Boston. Lao-Gosney was a third team All-American as a senior in 2012.
Cameron played in all 14 games as a defensive midfielder. He finished with 14 groundballs on the season, also adding two goals while firing eight shots and three shots on goal. Lao-Gosney’s 2015 season came after tallying two goals and two groundballs in his first three MLL seasons combined. Cameron was a two-time All-Patriot League honoree at Lehigh.
Two other alums saw consistent action throughout the year. Noah Molnar ’13 played in 11 of Denver’s 14 games, tallying 19 groundballs while scoring one goal on nine shots and six shots on goal. Molnar’s first professional goal came against Chesapeake on May 24. Meanwhile, former classmate Mike Noone ’13 emerged for the Ohio Machine, playing in seven games on defense with six groundballs. He helped the Machine reach the postseason, finishing second with a 9-5 record. Noone was an honorable mention All-American as a senior at Lehigh.
Recent alum Dan Taylor ’15 played in two early-season for the Outlaws, scoring a goal in his first-career game against Charlotte on May 3 while dishing an assist one week later at Rochester. O’Shaughnessy was picked up by the New York Lizards via the player pool and played his first MLL game in the regular season finale at Denver. O’Shaughnessy scooped a groundball in that game and was on hand for the Lizards’ Championship Game victory over Rochester last weekend. A pair of New York draftees, Matt Poillon ’15 and Lukas Mikelinich ’15 remain on the Lizards’ roster under Collegiate Inactives, while Ty Souders ’14 was on Ohio’s roster early in the season, but did not see action.
