.@LehighWLacrosse lands 15 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

After strong spring semesters in the classroom, 15 members of the Lehigh women’s soccer team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Thursday. Included were three Mountain Hawks who posted a 3.90 GPA or higher in the spring.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League’s winter or spring championship sports.

Junior Management major Hannah Street led the way with a 3.94 GPA. Senior Mathematics major Kelly Scott followed with a 3.92 GPA while senior Biology major Lauren Willcox tallied a 3.90.

Six additional Mountain Hawks posted a spring GPA over 3.50, including four freshmen. Freshman Kelly McBrearty had a 3.76, as did senior Carli Sukonik (3.76). Freshman Kayleen Kelly (3.73), freshman Kierstyn Voiro (3.70), freshman Nicolette Dunphy (3.58) and sophomore Allison LaBeau (3.52) followed.

The Mountain Hawks wrapped up a strong season highlighted by a seven-game road winning streak, a road win against Rutgers in front of a nationally-televised audience and the team’s second straight postseason appearance. Lehigh’s defense was especially strong as the Mountain Hawks finished the season 9-8 and earned the #5 seed in the Patriot League Tournament.
