HEADstrong founder Nicholas Colleluori fought his relentless battle against non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and on Saturday, October 17th, 8 Division I men’s and women’s college lacrosse programs will take the field to honor Colleluori and support those affected by cancer by being part of the 3rd Annual University of City Classic at PENN.
The games will be played at historic Franklin Field as well as picturesque Penn Park, overlooking the Philadelphia skyline. This year’s event will feature (4) men’s teams including: Bucknell University, Drexel University, Mount St. Mary’s University and University of Pennsylvania and (4) women’s teams including: Boston University, University of Delaware, Stanford University and University of Pennsylvania.

HEADstrong will have an awareness station onsite featuring the latest in HF awareness merchandise and apparel. A $5.00 charitable donation will be asked in lieu of admission. Complimentary admission will be provided to heroes and families receiving care at the Abramson Cancer Center.
Proceeds from the event will directly support the HEADstrong Foundation and the Nicholas E. Colleluori Lymphoma Research Fund at the Abramson Cancer Center.
Student philanthropy is at the center of this special event with each of the participating teams hosting fundraisers on their respected campuses to assist the goal. Additionally, each player will take the field wearing HEADstrong’s iconic lime green shoelaces to promote awareness for the cause.
HEADstrong will honor heroes and their families at the event presenting grants and gifts from the organization intended to improve their quality of life. HEADstrong President and Nick’s Mom Cheryl Colleluori will also present the prestigious Nicholas Colleluori Award to a member from each program whose contributions both on and off the field are transforming the landscape of their represented program.
