From Press Release
Head coach Hannah Rudloff and the Drexel women’s lacrosse program has announced the hiring of Jackie Cifarelli as a new assistant coach. Cifarelli will join Rudloff’s staff alongside Mary Moran, who returns for a fourth season as an assistant coach with the Dragons.
Cifarelli will be getting her first experience as a coach at the Division I level. Last spring, she completed her collegiate playing career at Ohio State. There, she left her mark on the record books of the Buckeyes program, finishing her career first in assists and second in points all-time at Ohio State. Her assist total of 179 left her third all-time in NCAA history. A three-time IWLCA regional All-American, Cifarelli was a two-time Tewaaraton Award nominee and was named to the inaugural Big Ten All-Conference Team in 2015. She had preceded that with a pair of recognitions on the ALC All-Conference team in 2013 and 2014. Cifarelli’s Buckeyes made the NCAA Tournament in each of her last two seasons in Columbus.
“We are thrilled to have a coach and individual of Jackie’s caliber joining our Dragon program,” Rudloff remarked. “During her playing career on a highly-ranked Ohio State team, she built herself into a dominant attacker known for her feeding ability and stick work. I am extremely excited for her to share her vast knowledge of the game, while mentoring and inspiring our student-athletes to attain our program’s championship goals.”
Cifarelli, a native of Rockville Centre, N.Y., graduated from Ohio State with a degree in sociology. In 2014, she earned a Student Athlete Academic Achievement award from OSU.
