Cradle Lacrosse is excited to announce Amanda Kammes as its new Philadelphia Regional Director. Cradle Lacrosse is the foremost lacrosse introductory program for boys and girls ages 4-8. Kammes will be responsible for overseeing all regional Cradle programming. She will direct sessions, manage staffing and staff training and help lead curriculum development.
“Amanda has an incredible passion for the sport and a unique background as a Division I basketball player at Penn,” NXT Director of Education Dylan Brown said. “She has unbelievable energy, a creative mind and a way of connecting with kids and we’re thrilled to have her be an even bigger part of the NXT family.”
Kammes is the head coach of NXT Lacrosse Club Girls’ 2020 team and the new head coach at Abington High. She formerly was the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Division I UC-Davis and an assistant coach on Garnet Valley’s first two PIAA-winning teams.
She also served as a basketball assistant coach for two seasons at American University and one at her alma mater, Penn. She was a two-year starter for the Quakers and helped lead them to the 2004 Ivy League championship.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join The Cradle Life,” Kammes said. “The program’s proven track record, NXT’s professionalism and the opportunity to be part of growing the game at the youth level is awesome. I’m stoked excited about Cradle’s bright future.”
Brown, NXT LC Boys Director Marty Kupprion, NXT LC Girls Director Kate Henwood and NXT LC Director of Faceoffs John Bodnar will also be directing area locations.
