From Press Release
Coach MV Whitlow (Head Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach for The Hun School of Princeton) has announced the launch of Blue Star Lacrosse, a new leader in lacrosse development. Blue Star Lacrosse will provide players of all ages and their families the tools and opportunities they need to be exceptionally positioned in today’s lacrosse world, and to maximize their potential.
Whitlow, along with Blue Star Lacrosse directors/coaches Don Green and Bryan Hopper and Chief Operating Officer Mary Merlo, hopes to be at the forefront of a new model for lacrosse development programs in which families and players benefit from a streamlined approach to all aspects of an athlete’s development process on and off the field.
“As the competitive lacrosse landscape continues to evolve around the country, players and parents find themselves wondering what tournaments they should attend, what camps they should participate in, and what they should be doing in the off-season,” says Whitlow. “Blue Star Lacrosse is proud to supply the answers, combining the best coaching available, a highly efficient organization, targeted exposure for players and personal support for families throughout the college recruiting process.”
Serving families with boys in grades 3-12, Blue Star has Youth and High School All Star travel teams beginning Fall 2015, and will offer other programs, clinics and events throughout the year.
This forward-thinking, teaching-based program allows players to maximize their potential in a healthy environment that emphasizes a team-first approach. Team Blue Star coaches, who have more than 40 combined years of coaching experience, are dedicated to helping players develop sharp lacrosse athleticism and fundamentals as well as strong character and ethics.
Players can expect continuous evaluation by the full coaching staff, off-season guidance and a travel schedule that includes the events most well-suited to give them meaningful exposure to competition and recruiters.
