J.P. Banks has resigned as head boys’ lacrosse coach at Upper Dublin to pursue another coaching position, Phillylacrosse.com has learned.
Banks posted a 67-16 record in his four years at Upper Dublin, leading the Cards to the last three Suburban One American Conference championships.
Upper Dublin reached the District 1 quarterfinals in 2014 for its furthest run ever in the tourney; last year the Cards fell to eventual District 1 finalist Conestoga in the second round of the district tournament.
The 2016 Cards will be expected to be a serious contender for district and state honors with a team led by USA U-19 training roster choices Michael Sowers (attackman, Princeton commit) and Jack Rapine (defenseman, Johns Hopkins commit).
Banks was unable to comment.
