ABOUT THE BANDITS
The Bandits exercise what they call a “70/30 Player Development Model”, where they focus 70% of a season on training and 30% of a season on performance in events.
The Bandits training sessions follow a curriculum that focuses on drills and exercises that emphasize fundamentals and maximize touches. The program believes that by offering a lot of practice opportunities, players get the most out of their club experience and can improve as lacrosse players.
The Bandits are entering their eighth year in existence. For the past three years they had been partnered with NXTsports, who helped manage the program. Beginning this fall, the Bandits will once again function as its own, independent program under the leadership of Abington head coach Peter Burns.
