Haverford School 2015 midfielder Phil Poquie has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Virginia.
Phil Poquie ledger:
High School: Haverford School
Graduation Year: 2015
Position: Midfielder
College Choice: University of Virginia
Lacrosse Honors: Player of the Game award in the Inter-Ac Invitational last season.
Why did you choose UVA? “I chose the University of Virginia because it is a prestigious school with great lacrosse. The weather down there is awesome. Head Coach (Dom) Starsia really didn’t try to sell the school to me when he recruited me. He just told me about his program, which was very comforting.”
Outlook for HS season? “It’s going to be a long tough season. Coach Nostrant has a real tough scheduled for us against a lot of ranked opponents. It’s really tough, but we have a great group of guys, so we’re going to get it done.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my family. They have been through a lot. I would also like to thank the Haverford community. This community has done an amazing job with me and for me, and a great job taking care of me.”
