The Lionville U15A team won the 2014 U15A Chester County Lacrosse Association (CCLA) lacrosse championship with an 8-5 victory over previously undefeated West Chester on Wednesday at Kelly Field in West Chester.
Lionville finished the season 15-1 and avenged its only loss of the year against West Chester, the first league game played in early April.

Lionville was led by a strong defensive unit of David Scott, Sam Sweeney, Zach Lee, Sean Sweeney, Mike Ellison and Max McAllister as well as the goaltending efforts of Nick Pezone in the first half and Patrick Bobko in the second half. Even more impressive was the face off play of Gavin Tygh, who won 14 of 17 faceoffs on the night and helped Lionville control ball possession all evening.
Jack Traynor led all scorers with five goals while Colin Armbrust, Ethan Bertolami and Brian Miller scored one goal apiece. Miller also chipped in with one assist. Jack Mulcahy had 2 assists and Bryce Lauletta also had an assist for Lionville.
The team is coached by Bob Miller, Mike Tabasso, Dave Ellison and John Scott.
