Gannon head women’s lacrosse coach Lindsey Lowman has announced the addition of eight student-athletes to the program. All eight have agreed to continue their academic and athletic careers at Gannon in the fall of 2014.
The 2014 recruiting class includes Marie Brockman (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield Township), Kierstyn Haight (Oshawa, Ontario/Maxwell Heights), Leilani King (St. Albans, Vt./Bellows Free Academy), Jessica Lambert (Livonia, N.Y./Livonia), Ileyana Little (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills), Jaide Litzelman (McSherrystown, Pa./New Oxford), Hannah Sinsebox (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) and Alexis Strouse (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright).
Gannon concluded its 2013 season with a 10-8 overall record. The Lady Knights have reached double digits in victories during nine consecutive seasons and have played in four consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournaments. The program has produced a winning record every season during its 18-year existence.

Kierstyn Haight
Oshawa, Ontario | Maxwell Heights High School
Expected major: Nursing
Club Team: Oshawa Lady Blue Knights
Plays for head coach Jess Lee at Maxwell Heights High School in Oshawa, Ontario
Named varsity team MVP
Serves as a varsity team captain
Received an honors award for academic excellence
Played for the Blue Knights club team, helping the program win three provincial championships and record two undefeated seasons
Captured the Ontario Summer Games Gold Medal with the Blue Knights
Is the daughter of Adrianne and Terry

Lowman Comments: “Kierstyn comes to us with a great lacrosse IQ and a passion for the game. She has polished stick skills and an ability to make her teammates shine. Leilani King

Expected major: Mechanical Engineering

Plays for head coach Mary Pipes at Bellows Free (Vt.) Academy
Is a two-time all-state selection, being named to the first team as a junior and second team as a sophomore
Selected to play in the Rising Stars Game as a freshman and junior
Helped Bellows Free Academy finish second in the state as a sophomore and fourth as a junior
Earned high honors in academics
Received the Gold Pin Award
Named Student of the Month in Spanish and Math

Leilani is a dominant presence on the attack and has the ability to be a threat as a goal scorer and a feeder. She will fight for every 50/50 ball and won’t back down from a challenge. Jessica Lambert

Lowman Comments: “Jaide is a tough defender who has the stick skills to have an impact in the midfield as well. She has quick feet and a disciplined stick on the defensive end. Jaide has a great work ethic and will add depth to both our defense and midfield. She will be a great addition to our team.”
