Philadelphia Wings Captain Brodie Merrill visited with patients at Virtua Voorhees in New Jersey on Monday, March 17.
During his visit he met with high school student, Josh Cohen, and his mother. Cohen, a junior at Cherry Hill High School East, recently suffered an arm injury playing in a lacrosse tournament.
Cohen was pleasantly surprised to meet one of the game’s best players. Merrill was able to provide encouragement and advice for overcoming obstacles like injuries.
The Wings remain at home this week as they battle the Toronto Rock for one of the final remaining spots in the NLL playoffs at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Single game tickets for the Philadelphia Wings 2014 NLL season are available now.
