Manheim Township rising junior attack Elizabeth Petrosky has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Duquesne University.
Elizabeth Petrosky log:
High School: Manheim Township High School
Graduation Year: 2016
Position: Attack
College Choice: Duquesne University
Club Affiliation: Xtreme Lacrosse Club
Major lacrosse honors: Lancaster Lebanon League First Team All Star, 2014 Brine All American Team, 2014 Under Armour Uncommitted Team, 2014 League and District Championships
What will you major in/study? Physical Therapy
Why did you choose school? “I chose Duquesne because of the great academic and lacrosse reputation the school has. The campus is beautiful and the coaching staff was awesome. Coach (Michael) Scerbo reminded me a lot of my high school coach, which helped make my decision a lot easier.”
Outlook for your High School team? “We lost a solid group of seniors after this season but with four rising seniors and 10 rising juniors we hope to win our sixth league championship and seventh district championship. In addition to that, we hope to make another solid run in states.”
Other comments: “I first want to thank my high school and club coach, Mark Pinkerton, for always pushing me to do my best and teaching me everything I know about the game. I want to thank Graham Westphal for introducing me to the sport years ago and encouraging me to pick up a stick and play. Lastly, I want to thank my parents for being my biggest fans and supports, as well as my teammates for always challenging me and helping me get better. I’d be no where without you guys.”
