The EVANFEST Foundation is a non-profit organization that is devoted to easing the enormous strains faced by families who every day battle against a child’s life threatening disease. The purpose of the Happy Hour is to gather together for a night of camaraderie and celebration to recognize all who have joined us in fighting the good fight against cancer and other childhood illnesses.
EVANFESTwas founded eight years ago by Bill and Patrice Brady in memory of their son Evan, a standout youth lacrosse player at Malvern Prep. While we lost Evan on September 21st, 2005, his legacy of courage lives on through the foundation. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Evan instantly recognized his courage and love.
The core fundraising event is a youth lacrosse tournament held annually at Malvern Prep. This year’s tournament will be the Eighth, and will be held on April 12th 2014. To date, EVANFEST has raised over $650,000.00, which has allowed us to provide financial assistance to over 175 different families in the Delaware Valley.
Many of their inspirational stories are featured on the EVANFEST website. at www.evanfest.com.
