The Duke’s Lacrosse Club used President’s Day, Feb. 17th, as a chance to create its Inaugural Captains Day Indoor Tournament at Maplezone Sports Institute.
The Format called for Duke’s captains to draft Duke’s players from 9th grade through 12th grade (with a few 8th graders added in) and two players from outside the Duke’s program to join in on the Tournament Fun.
The Day was a rousing success, mixing and matching players from all Grades.

In the finals, the TAR TERPS Team, led by captains Curtis Zappala (2015, Episcopal Academy, committed to Maryland) and Patrick Lyons (2016, Salesianum School, UNC) win the Championship Shootout over a determined TEAM SCHMACKERS, captained by Freddy Freibott (2014, Salesianum, Ohio State) and Adam Goldner (2016, Malvern Prep).
