Stephanie Toy (Moorestown) had two goals and an assist and goalie Allie Murray (Downingtown East) made two saves to earn the win Wednesday as host Notre Dame blitzed Cincinnati, 25-1, to open its season.
Defender Leah Gallagher (Radnor) added a groundball for the Irish.
George Washington 24, Howard 7
Jamie Bumgardner (Gwynedd Mercy Academy) collected three goals and five assists as well as two draw controls and a caused turnover while Gabbi Hull (Archbishop Carroll) added a goal and three draw controls. Jacqui Stevens (Princeton Day School) added two draw controls, a groundball and a caused turnover and Becca Taub (Cherry Hill East) had a groundball and caused turnover.

Devon Schneider (Manheim Township) had four goals to help the Gators roll.

LSM Tyler Knarr (La Salle) won 11 of 18 face-offs and scooped eight groundballs while defenseman Warner Bailey (Haverford School) had a caused turnover and a groundball to spark the Hoyas in their opener.

Matt Walters (Haverford School) had a goal for the Orange in their opener.
