Looking to finish the season with a victory and clinch their second season series of the year, the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) host the Colorado Mammoth for Fan Appreciation Night at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. This is Philadelphia’s final home and regular season game of the 2014 season.Wings

This marks the second and final matchup between Philadelphia and Colorado in the 2014 season. The Wings own a 19-7 overall series lead against the Mammoth including victories in three of the last five meetings.

“With a win against Colorado, we would be able to finish with the same record and sweep the season series against a strong and playoff bound team,” said Head Coach Blane Harrison.

To honor their fans, the Wings will host Fan Appreciation Night. Festivities included are a tailgate party featuring NXTsports’ Trashcan Lacrosse Experience, rally towel and team poster give-a-ways and post-game autographs from the entire Wings roster.

“We are looking forward to this game and fan appreciation night,” said Harrison. “It’s always fun to play in front of the home fan base. You always want to be able to put your best foot forward.”

Forwards Jordan Hall and Kevin Crowley turned in solid performances for Philadelphia in their most recent against Vancouver. The British Columbia natives combined for eight points (five goals, three assists) in a hometown setting. They currently are tied for 11th in the NLL in goals scored with 32 each and lead the Wings. Hall leads the Wings in total points with 71.

“We were happy with how our guys performed down the stretch last week in the victory at Vancouver,” said Harrison. “Everyone settled in for the second half. Kevin Croswell was able to step up as a veteran and fill-in as needed with [Evan] Kirk being out.”

Colorado (7-11) is currently third in the NLL West Division and clinched the final playoff spot last week with a victory over Minnesota. Forward John Grant Jr. leads the Mammoth in all major offensive categories (91 points, 40 goals, 51 assists). Veteran Forward Drew Westervelt makes his first visit to Philadelphia as a member of the opposing team.
