Philly All-Stars reach quarterfinals at @WorldLAX2014 Youth Festivals

The Philly All-Stars, a select U11 team comprised of players from all over Southeastern PA, enjoyed a strong performance at the World Lacrosse Festivals in Commerce City, CO last week.

The All-Stars reached the quarterfinals of the U11 tourney before bowing to the East Coast All-Stars (PA), 8-7.

The Philly All-Stars were down, 7-1, at halftime and rallied to close within the one-goal deficit. Geordy Holmes at midfield was outstanding and Rob Hobbs stood out in goal in the second half, not allowing a goal. Damien Ramondo and Eric Spanos stood out on attack and Aiden Welsh and Colin Gucwa were strong at close defense while David Barnes was strong at LSM.

The team was coached by Tom Hannum, Damien Ramondo, John Begier and Mike Murphy.

The Philly All-Stars include: David Barnes, Chris Begier, Charlie Bernicker, Aiden Coulter, Brendan Donnelly, Tucker Flynn, Matt Ford, Lyric Gibson, Colin Gucwa, Thomas Hannum, Robert Hobbs, Geordy Holmes, Luke Kelly, Braeden Lange, Colin Michener, Tucker Milhous, Jack Murphy, Max Neeson, Chris O’Grady, Will Peden, Damien Ramondo, Jayden Rowe, Eric Spanos, Matt Traynor, Aidan Welsh.
