Defensive Player of the Week for period ending Feb. 9:
JACKSON PLACE, BUCKNELL Sr., D, Episcopal Academy, Pa.
Bucknell’s senior co-captain spearheaded a terrific defensive effort in a 6-4 season-opening win over Delaware. The Bison allowed only two even strength goals all day, one of which came with 0:03 left in the game after the outcome had been decided. Place, an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American, had two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the game.

PATRICK CORBETT, LEHIGH So., A, Camillus, N.Y.
Netted a hat-trick in each game of Lehigh’s 2-0 week. Tallied three goals in win over Furman and followed that up with four in win over Marquette.
RYAN BUTTENBAUM, LEHIGH Sr., M, Conestoga, Pa.
Helped Lehigh control possession in 2-0 week as Mountain Hawks allowed just 15 shots to Furman and 27 to Marquette. Scooped 16 groundballs for the week including a career-high 12 against Marquette. Was a perfect 12-for-12 in first-half faceoffs.
Lafayette moves home opener to Wagner
The Lafayette men’s lacrosse home opener scheduled for Saturday Feb. 15 against Wagner has been moved to Wagner due to unplayable field conditions at Fisher Stadium. The game will be played at 2 p.m. at Wagner College Stadium in Staten Island, N.Y.
The Leopards’ first home game is now slated for Feb. 22 against Colgate at 12 p.m.
