NXTsports is thrilled to announce the hire of former Springside School standout Maggie Koch as Director, NXTevents.
“Maggie is a well-respected name in the lacrosse community with strong roots in the Philadelphia area,” NXTsports Vice President, Events Robin Baxter said. “Her experience and knowledge are a huge boost to the NXT team and she will help lead us to even greater heights.”
As Director, NXTevents, Koch will be tasked with overseeing and crafting NXTevents, working hand-in-hand with the likes of Baxter, Director of Showcase Lacrosse Brett Manney and fellow Director, NXTevents Peter Burns to continue developing the full NXTexperience.
Koch is the owner of Jolly Laxer LLC and an assistant coach for the Haudenosaunee U-19 national team that will compete in the 2015 U19 World Cup in Edinburgh, Scotland. She will be an assistant coach on Brooke Fritz’s Radnor High School staff this season.
Koch’s coaching career has taken her to Syracuse University, Onondaga Community College and the Haudenosaunee U-19 national team. In her time on Gary Gait’s coaching staff from 2007 to 2010, the Orange made it to two Final Fours. She was at OCC in 2012 and 2013 claimed an NJCAA championship in 2012.
A 2003 graduate of Springside School, Koch was the 2006 NCAA Division I Goalkeeper of the Year at Georgetown University, a two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007 and a three-time Big East champion.
