With school tryouts less than two months away, now is the time to sharpen your skills.
In anticipation of the school season, NXTgirls will host its Winter Skills Clinic for four consecutive Sundays from Jan. 12 to Feb. 2 at Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square.
The clinic is for girls from age eight to 14 and will feature stickwork, positioning and field concepts and will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. under the direction of new Episcopal Academy girls lacrosse coach Josie Ferri. Players will be divided into two groups by age. One group will be comprised of girls in grades three through five, while the other will be made up of girls in grades six through eight.
Ferri was a Haverford College All-American and is the co-director of the Philly Blast program and will take over as the head coach of the Inter-Ac champion Churchwomen this spring.
