Nominations are being requested for the Penn Select U13 Team.
Penn Select is a Philadelphia Regional All-Star team assembled & coached to compete against the top competition in the country. This year the team has been invited to play in the Sweet Lax Invitational in Pittsford NY on July 26th & 27th. Once again, it will compete against some of the top U13 players in the country.
In 2013, 85 elite U13 players from the region competed for 24 roster spots. The final roster represented 6 counties, 26 township and club teams, and 18 schools – a true regional all-star team.
Note: Penn Select is NOT designed to replace a player’s township or club team. Practice times will be scheduled to minimize conflicts.

Nominations and tryouts:
NOTE: This is NOT an “open” tryout. Players must be nominated by their coach. You will be asked to confirm your nomination during on-line registration by providing your coach’s Name, Organization, and Email Address.
Coaches are expected to understand the competitive nature of these tryouts and are expected to exercise discretion in the recommendation process to promote safety and help ensure that the evaluation process is meaningful for everyone. Evaluators must make tough decisions in a limited time and the process is not served by sending players who don’t have a legitimate chance to make the team.
All township team coaches are invited to participate in the evaluation process (only 1 coach per organization can participate). *A coach can not participate in the evaluation process if his son is involved.

Evaluating coaches do not need to attend all 3 sessions.
Prospective players will be evaluated during a 3-day mini-camp.

Eligible players (see “Eligibility”) must register on-line, prior to camp. No walk ups will be admitted.
Players should plan to attend all 3 sessions. It is possible to miss a session due to conflict and still be named to the final roster.
