Fast or last: words to live by if you’re an elite young lacrosse talent, and a mantra brought to life at “The Ride,” a premiere summer moment for competition, training and mentorship. The invite-only experience at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, being held Sunday through Tuesday, brings together 100 high school boys and girls players, challenging them to push the limits cage-to-cage against top competition. Summer 2014 marks the second edition of this annual Nike Lacrosse event.nike ride

Some of the game’s best coaches and professionals provide guidance during the various sessions. Nike Lacrosse athletes, including Max Seibald, Jeremy Thompson and Kitty Cullen will be on hand to provide expert insights on training at the highest level. TV lacrosse analysts, Quint Kessenich and Courtney Connor will host the event.

Boys and girls winners will be crowned during a lacrosse-specific SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, Quickness) training competition and a full-sided Championship Game. A variety of unique off-field experiential moments also provide connections to both the lifestyle and history of the sport.

The game, rooted in respect for its legacy and tradition, is moving rapidly into the future.
