Abington High School rising senior midfielder Cameron Leech has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at York College of Pennsylvania.

High School: Abington High School

Graduation: 2015

Position: Midfielder

College Choice: York College of PA

Club Affiliation: Philly Elite

Major lacrosse honors: Sophomore year 2nd team All-League, Junior year 1st team All-League, Keystone Games gold medal in 2011, three year varsity player, selected to 2014 LB3 National team

What will you major in? Sports Management/Education

Why did you choose York? “After a prospect day last November where I had a chance to meet the coaches(Brandon Childs, Michael Hofmeister, and Ryan Cassidy), it led me to follow the team through the spring season and their style of play convinced me it was a perfect fit.”

Thoughts on this season/outlook for next? “The 2014 team came together under a new Head Coach, Peter Burns. Although we came up a little short I believe it was a successful season. My hope is that we will build on our success from this year and take the program another step forward next year.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank Coach Greenberg, Coach Lomady, Coach Narine, and Coach Rambo who helped me succeed through my youth career. My High School coaches that I would like to thank are Coach Ryan Greer, Head Coach Peter Burns and Assistant Coaches Shawn Mowry, Nate Malatin, and Chip Jones. My Summer coaches I would like to thank are Dave Sowers, Jim Beury, and The Banks Family.

“Lastly I would like to thank my parents for helping me to get where I am now.”
