Ben McIntosh had six points, Cole Shafer had five goals and Nick Saputo dominated on face-offs once again as host Drexel downed No. 19 St. John’s, 16-11, today on a frigid afternoon at Vidas Field.
Nick Trizano added three goals and two assists for Drexel while Jared Boudreau had a goal and two assists. Matt Dusek had four groundballs and three caused turnovers on defense.
Will Gabrielsen earned the win with 13 saves for the Dragons, who improved to 3-2. Jules Raucci (Garnet Valley) added a goal and a groundball and defenseman Miles Thomas (Conestoga) had three groundballs and two caused turnovers. Nick Valentino (Hempfield) also scored once.
For St. John’s (2-2), Colin Keegan (Springfield-Delco) had three goals and three assists and defenseman Mark DiFrangia (La Salle) had two groundballs and two caused turnovers.
