Why did you choose the school? “What first drew me to SU was the amazing lax program. And when I had the opportunity to meet Coach (Jim) Nestor, I was ecstatic that I was being given the opportunity to play for him. I want to be a part of a team that works hard and I knew that I could find that at Salisbury. I also really love the campus; I think it has a great vibe all together. And, Salisbury is a solid fit for me academically. It’s in a great location, right by Ocean City. I also love the state of Maryland because I grew up in Severna Park, before moving to Princeton, NJ.”

Team’s outlook for next season? “Last year, we were a team that worked hard, but lacked focus. I think if we had focused a bit more and really honed in on the things we needed to work on as a team, we would’ve taken our game to the next level. This year, we have a lot of talented girls who are ready to start the season off fresh. I’m excited to get started!”

Other comments: “My parents deserve a huge ‘thank you’ on my behalf. They have kept me active all my life. They helped me build my athleticism at a young age. Throughout all the sports I’ve played, they have been there cheering me on. Win or lose, they believe in me and are a positive influence, and that’s all that I could ask for.”

“The two people who really taught me the sport of lacrosse are Chris and Kurt Schulte. They coached me when I played for the Hopewell Valley Lacrosse League. They were the ones who introduced me to the sport that I now can’t imagine my life without. I loved coming to all the practices and games because of them.

“All the coaches I’ve had in the past have taught me something that has enhanced my game or helped me as a person, thank you all so much for that.”
