Heather Camden

High School: Downingtown West High School

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: Defense

College Choice: Drexel University

Club Affiliation:
Phantastix Purple

Academic honors, service: Distinguished Honor Roll, National Honor Society, Langano Harvest Foundation (Ethiopia) 2010 and 2013,

What will you major in/study? Business/Economics

Why did you choose the school? “Drexel has very strong Business and Economics departments and also offers a five year accelerated MBA program. I will have the option of having more work (co-op) experience or I can choose to pursue an MBA in the five years I will be there. I love the city campus and I am excited to be a part of the lacrosse team there. I just kept going back to it because the team has such a great vibe, the coaches are excited about the direction they are taking the program, and I have opportunity to come out of college with a masters degree.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Several key players graduated this year, but we will have a strong base of returning starters. The success of our season will depend on chemistry and how we fill in the gaps.”

Other comments: “I’d like to thank my Phantastix coaches, JoAnn Yusko, Sue Frazier, Lorraine Beers and Margie Garrity; my PA Express coaches, Kelee O’Malley, JoAnn Tabor; and my high school coaches, Courtney McGinty, Emily Ernest and Jess Stevens. I would also like to thank my high school and AAU basketball coaches. And lastly, I would like to thank my family for all of their love and support.”

Other schools considered?
Naval Academy, Ohio State, Virginia Tech
