The lacrosse community is mourning the death Friday of Joe Walsh, a freshman at Bucknell University who starred at St. Joseph’s Prep.
Bucknell University officials informed students and St. Joe’s Prep officials informed its community of the loss during the weekend. No other details are being released upon request of the family for privacy in the wake of their loss. 
Walsh was a First-Team All-Catholic League pick in 2013, playing midfield and attack. He was a three-year letterwinner and played club lacrosse for Twist.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the Walsh family,” said St. Joseph’s Prep head coach Eric Gregg.
