Under a beautiful sunny sky Harriton Boys’ Lacrosse welcomed the Lower Merion Township Ashbee Lacrosse House Leagues and Clinics to opening day of their season on Saturday.
More than 150 players arrived ready to meet their coaches and get their season going.

The event featured special guest, Katie Samson, who spoke to the Harriton Team and Ashbee parents about her efforts to raise awareness that there is life after spinal cord injury. The Harriton players collected more than $650 in donations from the parents and also sold raffle tickets to raise funds for the Katie Samson Foundation (www.katiesamsonlaxfest.com).
Harriton will be playing The Shipley School at 9 am, Saturday, April 26th on the Loop Field as part of the 14th Annual Katie Samson Lacrosse Festival.
Additionally, Ashbee Lacrosse made a $500 donation to the Katie Samson Foundation, presented by House and Clinic Director, Harriton Head Coach Joe Proud and parents Bill Bernicker and Charlie Meyer.
