Cabrini head women’s lacrosse coach Jackie Neary added another honor to her collection, as she was named Division III Metro Region Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, the organization announced today. Neary was one of just eight Division III coaches to earn the regional coaching accolade.

Neary collected her eight CSAC Coach of the Year award in 2014, and second in a row, as she led the Cavaliers to a third consecutive CSAC championship. The Blue and White captured the program’s 13th overall conference title with a 21-8 win over Neumann in the championship game. Its CSAC record of 8-0 also marked the club’s 11th undefeated conference schedule.
Cabrini made its 11th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the second round for the second time in program history after a 13-4 win at Arcadia. A second round loss at No 6 Gettysburg ended the Cavaliers’ season at 14-6, the team’s most victories since the 2007 campaign.
Neary, who started the program in 1997, currently ranks 11th all-time in NCAA history with 0.691 win percentage, while her 230 career victories rank 12th on the NCAA’s all-time wins list.
