The first annual Fusion Winter Classic Box Tournament was held Dec 30th at 422 Sportsplex in Pottstown with top teams competing from three different states.

Crabs Lacrosse (Baltimore), won the 5th/6th grade division with a 12-11 comeback victory over NOTB lacrosse (Long Island, NY). The Bucksmont North Stars (Hatfield), won the 7th/8th grade division with a 15-12 grudge match victory over the Fusion 2018’s (West Chester) in what has become a fierce rivalry over the past 6 months.

Fusion directors said the event was a success.
“Any time power house teams travel to you from Maryland and Long Island, and you’re able to have great competition all day long you’re doing something right,” said Fusion Co-Founders Kevin Crowley and Steven Holmes “The games were exciting and the atmosphere was tremendous.”
Fusion will continue providing the premier box lacrosse events in the region. In addition to next year’s Winter Classic, it will host the Northeast Regional Championships in August and a State Championship tournament next year.
Fusion has been awarded the distinguished honor of being Pennsylvania charter members of the US Box Lacrosse Association. Tournaments will soon be bracketed creating a Pennsylvania state champion in 2015. That champion will compete in the US Box Lacrosse National Championships in Irvine California, August 2015.
The Fusion 2018’s will get a taste for the competition this February at the USBoxLa MidWest Regional in Ohio (Hosted by Resolute Lacrosse). Fusion 2018’s will clash with the best teams from Ohio, Denver, California, Kentucky, and Illinois.
