“We are very excited to bring Nick on board as our new head men’s lacrosse coach,” said Granata. “He understands the importance of developing the complete student-athlete from his experiences at other NCAA Division III member institutions. We are confident in his ability to lead our program and feel that we have a bright future ahead.”

Taylor arrives at Arcadia after spending the past two seasons as the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Cabrini College, where he was involved in all aspects of the Cavaliers’ nationally-ranked program. He coached 14 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) all-Americans, including the 2014 Division III Player of the Year.

Cabrini was ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation in 2014, which saw the Cavaliers go 17-2 following a program-best 11-0 start to the season. Cabrini recorded wins over five nationally-ranked opponents, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the second consecutive season after winning its second straight Colonial State Athletic Conference title.

“l would like to thank Brian and everyone involved in the hiring process for offering me the opportunity to lead the men’s lacrosse program at Arcadia,” said Taylor. “The University and the athletic department were very impressive from day-one, and I look forward to building on the great foundation it has in place.”

Taylor began his coach career as the top assistant at Catholic University, where he served as the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator from 2009-12. The Cardinals went 39-22 during his four seasons and qualified for the Landmark Conference tournament three consecutive seasons from 2010-12, including a berth in the 2010 Landmark Conference title game. Catholic produced a pair of USILA all-Americans, including the 2010 Landmark Conference Player of the Year. The Cardinals also had the 2012 Landmark and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Year.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Taylor has served in a variety of other capacities at both Cabrini and Catholic. He served as a coordinator of alumni engagement and annual giving while at Cabrini, and served as assistant director of alumni relations (2010-12) and an admissions counselor (2010-12) at Catholic.

Taylor has gained additional coaching experience at the club level, serving as the head coach of Mad Lax in Washington, D.C. from 2009-12 before joining the staff at Main Line Lacrosse Club in Radnor in 2012.

A 2008 graduate of FDU-Florham with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, Taylor was a four-year member of the Devils’ men’s lacrosse program on defense. He served as team captain his junior and senior seasons, and was named a First-Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection in 2008. Taylor went on to earn his master’s degree in public communication from American University in 2009.

A native of Newark, Delaware, Taylor currently resides in Conshohocken.
