Garnet valley 2015 defender Julia Brewer has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Lebanon Valley College.
Julia Brewer log:
High School: Garnet Valley
Graduation Year: 2015
Position: Defense
College Choice: Lebanon Valley College
Club Affiliation: Lenape Premier
Major lacrosse honors: National Tournament 2014, 2014 State Champions
What will you major in/study? Physical Therapy
Why did you choose school? “Lebanon Valley has an excellent physical therapy program and I really like the fact that the school places a lot of focus on both academics and athletics. LVC has a strong sense of community on campus and Coach (Jackie) Dando (Henderson grad) and all of the players made me feel very welcome there. I’m excited to have the opportunity to play lacrosse while also getting a great education!”
Outlook for your High School team? “Although we lost a lot of seniors last year, we still have a full team of talented players who are willing to work hard to accomplish our goal of defending the state title.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank all of my teammates from both Garnet Valley and Lenape for supporting me and constantly challenging me to improve. I would also like to thank my club coaches, Becky Tingle and Robin Zane, as well as Garnet Valley coach, Jenny Purvis, for all of their help both on and off the field. Finally, a huge thank you to my parents and siblings for coming to countless tournaments and for being a constant source of encouragement and support!”
