Oregon Lacrosse head coach Jen Beck announced the signing of 10 players to National Letters of Intent for the 2015 season Tuesday afternoon. The 2015 class comes to Oregon from California (3), Pennsylvania (2), Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts and Oregon.
Mariah Gatti ● West Linn, Ore.
West Linn HS | Midfield
LAXNW / Rhino LAX
Gatti enters her senior season at West Linn High School having led the Lions to a runner-up finish her sophomore year before winning the state championship her junior season (2013). She is a two-time first team all-league and all-state honoree while earning U.S. Lacrosse All-America honors her junior season. Gatti also led WLHS to the state semifinals as a starter her freshman year. She has also competed in and won multiple tournaments with LAXNW and Rhino LAX club teams both in the states and abroad. In addition to excelling on the field, she is also an honor roll student at West Linn.
Devan Michael ● Shrewsbury, Mass.

Michaels joins Oregon as a dual-sport athlete for Shrewsbury High School, lettering in lacrosse and field hockey since her freshman season. Heading into her senior season, Michaels has totaled 226 goals, 82 assists and 308 total points at SHS. She was the top scorer in the Midland-Wachusett League as well as the second-leading scorer in central Massachusetts with 100 goals her junior season. Michael’s was also tabbed to the Midland-Wachusett League All-Star team back-to-back years along with Telegram & Gazette Superteam honors. The four-year starter also led the field hockey team to the Central Massachusetts D1 District Championship and was a state finalist as a junior. She also led the Colonials to MWL championships her freshman, junior and senior seasons. Michaels also excelled in the classroom earning honor roll distinctions every quarter at Shrewsbury.
Natalie Modly ● Annapolis, Md.

Maryland United Lacrosse Club
Modly, a tri-sport athlete at St. Mary’s High School, was a four-year letterwinner in lacrosse and field hockey while also lettering in cross country her senior year. She was tabbed as an Anne Arundel County Player to Watch by the Capital Gazette as a junior (2013) and also selected to the Capital Gazette’s All-County Second-Team for the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland. Modly was also a three-year starter for the field hockey team and finished in the top seven at the IAAM Conference Championships in cross country. The Annapolis, Md., native was named as a standout player at the DeBeer’s Presidents Cup in Naples, Fla. by Inside Lacrosse (2012). The SMHS senior is also a leader in the classroom earning principal’s honor roll recognition every quarter. Modly is also a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
Madison Terefenko ● Sinking Spring, Pa.

Terefenko, a two-sport athlete at Wilson High School, lettered in both lacrosse and indoor track since her freshman year. The Sinking Springs, Pa., native was selected to the Under Armour All-America Team to represent Philadelphia as well as a selection to the Philly Showcase all-star team her junior year. As a sophomore, she led the Bulldogs to the Berks County Championship earning her Brine National Draw Team honors. In her first year with WHS, she was named to the Adidas National Draw team. Terefenko also earned Berks County first-team honors after scoring 42 goals with 11 assists in her junior campaign.
Jillian Zubillaga ● Kennett Square, Pa.

Zubillaga is a dual-sport athlete at Unionville High School playing soccer and lacrosse. The Kennett Square, Pa., native earned her first letter as a sophomore along with Ches-Mont League honorable mention. She notched first-team All-Ches-Mont League honors on defense as a junior and was named to the All-Area Team by the Daily Local Newspaper. Zubillaga earned U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-America honors during her junior campaign. The UHS senior was also a four-year letterwinner in soccer, guiding the Lions to a Ches-Mont League American Division Championship and runner-ups in the state tournament as a freshman.
Cambi Cukar ● Pleasanton, Calif.

Cukar led the Dons to two-straight California Interscholastic Federation North Coast Section title games. She was tabbed first-team All-East Bay Athletic League and first-team All-East Bay her sophomore and junior season. The Pleaston, Calif., native recorded 126 points with 67 assists her sophomore year and notched 151 points with 88 assist as a junior. The three-year letterwinner has also earned athletic scholar awards all three years. Cukar also lettered in basketball her sophomore year guiding the Dons to the first round of the CIF basketball playoffs.
Joanna Hesketh ● Simsbury, Conn.

Laxplus Lacrosse Club
Hesketh led the Trojans to back-to-back Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference quarterfinal games. As a sophomore, she was named to the All-Central Connecticut Conference team as well as the All-CIAC team. The Simsbury, Conn., native earned first-team all-state honors as well as her second All-CCC and All-CIAC team selections in her junior campaign. Hesketh was also selected to the Lower New England Team and Super Juniors team. She was named to the CCC All-Academic team her junior year to go along with her honor roll awards all three years.
Lindsey Kail ● Pleasanton, Calif.
Foothill HS | Attack/Midfield
Bearlax Lacrosse Club
A three-year starter at Foothill High School, Kail earned first-team All-North Coast Section and first-team All-East Bay Athletic League after leading the Falcons to the NCS quarterfinals her junior year. As a sophomore she was named second-team All-EBAL while earning EBAL honorable mention and Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman. Kail also played on the Nor Cal U15 Elite National team from 2009-10 and was a member of the Nor Cal National High School Tournament team in 2012. The current senior also plays soccer, softball and swim for the Falcons. The Pleasanton, Calif., native will join two other Bearlax Lacrosse Club teammates in Cambi Cukar and Evan Murphy at Oregon.
Evan Murphy ● Pleasaton, Calif.

Murphy is a three-year letterwinner at Amador Valley High School. She led the Dons to two-straight North Coast Section championship appearances. She earned all-American honorable mention, first-team Bay Area News Group All-Area and first-team All-East Bay Athletic League honors as a junior. Murphy was also named Nike/US Lacrosse Top Performer of the Month in March. In her sophomore season, she was named second-team All-EBAL and was selected to the Under Armour Underclass Tournament West Team. Murphy also earned a spot in the Western Winners All-Star team. In her first season with Amador Valley HS, Murphy earned rookie of the year honors.
Rachael Walker ● Littleton, Colo.

Walker, a three-year letterwinner at Chatfield Senior High School, led the Chargers to three-straight Colorado High School Athletic Association playoff appearances, including a second-round appearance during the 2013 season. The Littleton, Colo., native scored 38 goals to go along with 44 assists and earned all-state honorable mention, Jeffco League MVP and first-team All-Jeffco for her efforts. Walker was also named Female Athlete of the Year at Chatfield HS after leading the Chargers to a 12-4 season, including a 7-0 league record. Her sophomore year has been her best year offensively, scoring 49 goals with 40 assists earning her all-state honorable mention and second-team All-Jeffco League honors. As a freshman, Walker earned All-Jeffco honorable mention after scoring 37 goals to go with her 36 assists. Walker is also a two-year starter for the Chargers in field hockey.
