Six men’s teams will compete Nov. 16 in the 3rd Annual Kelly’s Fall Masters Lax Classic at The Shipley School. The event will benefit the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse Foundation and is sponsored by the Foundation as well as Kelly’s Taproom and The Shipley School.

This event has quickly become the premiere masters-level lacrosse tournament in the Philadelphia area.  It’s a one day tournament, 10AM – 4PM, held at The Shipley School’s main campus sports complex in Bryn Mawr, PA featuring two state-of-the-art turf fields and is open to the public free of charge.  Directions can be found here:  http://goo.gl/maps/mFlFIPhiladelphia Wings Foundation

Six men’s teams, consisting of players 35 years and over, will compete in this perennial event at Shipley’s facility enjoying the comfort of extra cushioning for the knees of “experienced” players.

Last year’s winners, The Northmen (from New Jersey), will be returning to defend their title against the best from PA, NY and NJ.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase as well as tournament merchandise along the concourse.  There will be other great activities for both young and mature laxers such as the “fastest shot” contest to benefit the Wings Lacrosse Foundation.

In attendance will be many Philadelphia Wings alumnae, both as players and spectators. Feel free to join everyone post-game at the Happy Hour and trophy presentation to be hosted at Kelly’s Taproom after the tournament.Shipley Gators

The Philadelphia Wings Foundation intends to foster a relationship with area youth lacrosse players and coaches that promotes a healthy lifestyle, provides positive role models, gives access to professional lacrosse players to the youth lacrosse community and offers inroads for players and coaches to access knowledge and experience in playing the indoor game. Foundation information can be found at: http://www.wingslax.com/Foundation.

For more information check out the tournament website or feel free to contact Dan Kelley at dan@kellystaproom.com.
