Gonzaga College High (D.C.) sophomore midfielder Nick McEvoy has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: Won the King of the Hill, Crab Feast and Legacy tournaments this summer with the Greene Turtle South 2016 team. Played for Gonzaga College High School at the National High School Showcase, the Under Armour Shootout and the UMD Young Guns tournament. All-Star at Legacy Tournament, 2016 Under Armour Uncommitted Game, 2016 WAVE vs Free State game.

Why did you choose the school? “Great academics, sports and facilities. The lacrosse coaches were awesome.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “The 2013 season was another great year for Gonzaga lacrosse. We won our fourthth straight WCAC title and finished ranked No. 3 the nation by Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse Magazine and ranked No. 5 in the nation by Nike/US Lacrosse.
