Moorestown rising junior LSM-defenseman Austin Haynes has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.
Austin Haynes log:
High school: Moorestown High School
Year of graduation: 2015
Position: LSM/D
College choice: University of Delaware
Club affiliation: Tri-State Lacrosse
Intended major: Physical therapy or athletic training
Why did you choose school? “I chose Delaware because I liked the idea of playing for an experienced coach. When I went on my visit I felt comfortable on campus and with coach (Bob) Shillinglaw and Coach (Greg) Carroll. Also, it has a great mix of academics and athletics.
Looking back at 2013 and ahead to 2014: “We lost early in the playoffs last year. This year we are going to be a young team, but we have potential to do big things.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank coach Whitlow or helping me become a better lacrosse player the past two years. Also, I would like to thank my parents for pushing me to be the best I could be.”
